The Project Manager role requires an individual who is highly motivated, organized, and detail oriented. They should possess excellent communication skills and exceptional leadership abilities. The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of TxDOT's compliance and ethical standards and be proficient in negotiating. Additionally, they must be flexible and adaptable when dealing with projects and clients.
Job Requirements & Responsibilities:
Develop detailed project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
Define project milestones, deliverables, and critical path, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project objectives.
Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and able to prepare and maintain project schedules
Prepare and manage project budgets, including cost estimates, expenditures, and financial reporting.
Allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Monitor and control project costs to prevent budget overruns.
Lead and coordinate multiple project teams, including engineers, designers, and subcontractors.
Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.
Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including contracts, reports, and correspondence.
Provide regular progress reports to clients and senior management.
Review and verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications before submission.
Conduct quality checks to ensure designs are free from errors or inconsistencies.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of project documentation and deliverables.
Implement quality control procedures to verify that work meets the required specifications and standards.

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
Minimum:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
5 – 7 years of experience in project management role
Professional Engineer (PE) license
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus
Valid driver’s license
